Stop typing amounts twice. Oja POS sends the total to your Moniepoint or OPay card machine, and the sale saves itself when the card is paid.

Typing the amount into the card machine is where mistakes creep in: a missing zero, the wrong total, a sale paid on the machine but never recorded. When your card machine is connected to Oja, the POS sends the exact total to the machine and records the sale only when the card goes through.
Before you start
- The Chairman plan.
- Your Moniepoint or OPay card machine connected to Oja, with Send sales to this machine switched on (see our guide on connecting your card machine).
- Internet on the computer running the POS.
Choose POS as the payment
Add the items to the order and click POS under the total. When your machine is connected, Oja shows Sends amount to your connected terminal.

Click Complete and wait for the card
Click Complete. Oja sends the total to your card machine and waits. The customer taps or inserts their card on the machine.
When the payment is approved, Oja saves the sale as paid with POS as the method, and opens the receipt screen. If the card is declined, Oja tells you and nothing is saved.

Good to know
- No network? Take the card on the machine as usual, then record the sale in the Oja app with POS / card once you are back online.
- The amount sent is the order total with taxes, so the machine and your records always match.
- Card fees are charged by your card provider, not Oja.
